Let’s explore them one by one:

Core System Actions

Get-Available-Providers: Retrieves all available providers for the current connection. This action is automatically called before any other tool so you can select which provider you want to work with.

Get-Brand-Config: Fetches the brand configuration from the selected connected provider, allowing the system to apply the correct brand context.

Convert-File-To-Text: Converts non-image files into text so they can be processed and analyzed by the AI assistant.

Asset Management Actions

Search-Asset:Instantly search for assets within your selected DAM system or within a specific folder by simply typing a search prompt in ChatGPT.

Upload-Asset-By-URL:Upload assets directly from your desktop via URL. Currently, this action supports uploading only assets that were downloaded from your DAM system (external uploads are not yet supported).

Delete-Asset: Remove assets from your DAM system using a simple command and confirmation.

Get-Asset-Download-URL: Generate a direct download link for any asset stored in your DAM system.

Rename-Asset: Rename assets easily by providing the new file name, including the file extension (for example: before.jpg → after.jpg).

Asset-Versions: View or manage the different versions of an asset stored in your DAM system.

Move-Asset: Move assets from one folder to another. This process is handled automatically by downloading the asset, re-uploading it to the destination, and removing it from the original location.

Folder Management Actions

Browse-Folders: Retrieve the full folder structure and view all assets and subfolders within a selected directory.

Create-Folder: Create a new folder in your DAM system by specifying the location and folder name in your prompt.

Delete-Folder: Delete any folder in your DAM system with a single command.

Rename-Folder: Rename existing folders quickly and efficiently through a simple prompt.

Move-Folder: Move a folder from one location to another within your DAM structure.

Batch Operations

To improve efficiency, the MCP Server also supports batch operations, allowing multiple actions of the same type to be executed in a single tool call.

Batch-Create-Folder: Create multiple folders in one request.

Batch-Delete-Asset: Delete multiple assets simultaneously.

Batch-Delete-Folder: Delete multiple folders in a single operation.

Batch-Rename-Asset: Rename several assets at once.

Batch-Rename-Folder: Rename multiple folders in a single command.

Batch-Upload-Asset-By-URL: Upload multiple assets from URLs in a single operation.

How Batch Operations Work

Batch operations significantly reduce the number of tool calls by aggregating multiple actions into one request. Currently, a single batch operation can process up to 10 actions at once.

Example

Delete 6 assets and create 3 folders:

Before (without batching)

  • Delete-Asset called 6 times

  • Create-Folder called 3 times

After (with batching)

  • Batch-Delete-Asset called 1 time

  • Batch-Create-Folder called 1 time

With these actions, managing your DAM system through the CI HUB BRIGHT – MCP Server becomes effortless; just type your request in ChatGPT, and the work gets done for you.
