CI HUB BRIGHT - MCP Server for Claude Desktop

The CI HUB BRIGHT MCP Server lets you connect your Providers directly to Claude Desktop. With just a few steps, you can authorize your CI HUB ID, link up to five providers, and configure permissions so Claude can work smoothly with your content.

This guide walks you through the full setup.

1. Add the CI HUB MCP Server in Claude Desktop

To begin, open Claude Desktop’s settings and add the CI HUB BRIGHT MCP Server as a custom connector.

  1. Open Settings in Claude Desktop.

  2. Navigate to Connectors.

  3. Click Add a custom connector.

  4. Enter the following details:

    • Name: CI HUB MCP Server

    • Remote MCP Server URL: https://mcp.ci-hub.com/mcp

  5. Click Add.

Claude will now display the connector as disconnected; you’ll connect it in the next step.

2. Connect and Authorize the MCP Server

  1. In the connectors list, click Connect next to the CI HUB MCP Server.

  2. A browser window will open automatically.

  3. Sign in with your CI HUB ID.

Connect Your Providers

After logging in, CI HUB will prompt you to link your providers. You can connect 1 to 5 providers.

Select your provider from the list or use the search bar to find it (e.g., Dropbox, Box, Frontify, etc.). Then log in with your account credentials, optionally give the connection a custom name, and click Save to add it.

Once you complete authorization, you can get back to Claude. The CI HUB MCP Server will now display as connected.

3. Configure MCP Tool Permissions in Claude

After the MCP Server is connected, you can configure it.

Claude will show all the tools exposed by the CI HUB MCP Server. For each tool, you can set permissions:

  • Always allow

  • Ask for approval

  • Block

You can configure these individually or apply them globally.

4. Enable Network Egress (Required)

For the CI HUB MCP Server to function correctly, Claude must be allowed to access external URLs.

  1. Go to Capabilities in Claude settings.

  2. Enable Allow network egress.

  3. Choose one of the options:

    • Allow all domains, or

    • Add the CI HUB domain to your whitelisthttps://live.ci-hub.com
    • Add any domains related to your DAM or cloud storage system to the whitelist (ie. The domains that assets are available on. Check with your provider or system admin for details)

Important:
If you make any changes here (such as enabling egress or modifying domain rules), you must restart Claude Desktop to apply the updates.

If network egress is disabled, Claude cannot access URLs coming from the MCP server preventing it from connecting to your providers.

Now you have successfully added and configured the CI HUB BRIGHT MCP Server in Claude Desktop. With your providers authorized, permissions set, and network access enabled, Claude can now interact smoothly with your CI HUB-connected Providers.
