CI HUB Connector Pro: Asset Placement and ExCoP Overview for PowerPoint Pro
Place Assets and Select Renditions
The CI HUB Connector Pro enables you to place high-resolution images or vector graphics as optimized low-resolution PNG or JPEG renditions. This approach helps streamline your workflow and significantly reduces the overall file size of your PowerPoint presentations.

The ExCoP Feature in the CI HUB Connector
One of the most powerful capabilities of the CI HUB Connector, originally developed for InDesign and now available in PowerPoint, is the ExCoP (Extended Content Panel) feature.
ExCoP provides a comprehensive overview of all assets used in your presentation, including their current status. This gives you full visibility and control over your content, making asset management in PowerPoint more efficient and reliable.
Each placed image remains linked to its source system. As a result, you are automatically notified if:
- An image has been updated in the source system
- An image has been deleted from the source system
- Multiple versions of the same image exist
For images that were previously placed in PowerPoint, ExCoP offers additional options:
- Search the source system for the corresponding asset and replace it with the latest version
- Trigger an automated process to upload the image from PowerPoint to the source system and re-link it back into the presentation

How to Use the ExCoP Feature
- Click the link icon in the toolbar to open ExCoP.
- Select the Bulk option to update all linked assets.
The CI HUB Connector Pro will then verify all assets against the source system, checking for updates, version changes, and availability. You will receive updated status information directly within PowerPoint.
By selecting an asset, you can access a detailed view that includes:
- Asset name
- Placement location within the presentation
- Version information and available updates
If a newer version is available, a tooltip will indicate this, along with preview thumbnails of both the current and updated versions.
To update an asset:
- Select the asset
- Click the link icon
- Choose the desired rendition
ExCoP will then update the selected asset and all its occurrences throughout the presentation, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
