Getting Started with the CI HUB Connector for WordPress

WordPress is one of the most widely used platforms for creating and managing websites. With the CI HUB Connector, you can go beyond website management and easily access your digital assets directly inside WordPress.

The connector allows you to bring assets from your DAM, PIM, stock providers, or cloud storage into the WordPress Media Library—the same assets you may already use in tools like Adobe Creative Cloud or Microsoft Office.

This means you can find and place your assets without leaving WordPress.

Install the CI HUB Connector Plugin

To start using CI HUB in WordPress, first install the plugin:

  1. In the WordPress dashboard, click Plugins in the left menu.

  2. Click Add New at the top of the page.

  3. Search for CI HUB in the search bar.

  4. Click Install, then Activate the plugin.

Once activated, the CI HUB Connector will be available in your Media Library.

Open CI HUB and Connect Your Services

  1. Go to Media in the WordPress menu.

  2. Click Add New.

  3. You will see a CI HUB button next to the upload option.

  4. Click this button to open the CI HUB Connector panel.

When opening CI HUB for the first time, log in with your CI HUB account or create a new account.

After logging in, you can load your existing connections or add new ones, such as DAM, PIM, cloud storage, or stock services. Once connected, your assets will be available directly inside WordPress.

Using the CI HUB Connector

The CI HUB interface in WordPress works the same way as in other supported applications. If you have used CI HUB in tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, the workflow will feel familiar.

You can:

  • Browse your connected services

  • Navigate folders and asset structures

  • Search and filter assets

  • View metadata and previews

  • Place assets directly into WordPress

Note: In WordPress, the CI HUB panel appears full-screen due to platform limitations.

Access Connector Settings

Click the menu icon (top right) in the CI HUB panel to access options such as:

  • Connector information

  • Support

  • Language selection

  • License purchase

  • Restarting the connector

  • Interface scaling

Manage Assets

Within the connector you can:

  • Search across your connected systems and stock providers

  • Upload new assets

  • Create folders

  • View asset details and metadata

  • Open assets in the source system

  • Place assets into WordPress
