How to Fix the CI HUB Invalid Access Token Issues: 784 and 785 Errors

When working with the CI HUB Connector, users may occasionally encounter error codes 784 or 785. Although these errors appear distinct, they both indicate the same underlying problem: an invalid or malformed access token.

What These Errors Mean

The CI HUB Connector uses an access token to verify your identity and enable secure communication with connected content sources and services. This token allows data to be accessed and managed safely within your host application (such as Adobe InDesign, Microsoft PowerPoint, and others).

Both Error 784 and Error 785 indicate that this access token has become invalid.

When this happens, the connector can no longer authenticate your session, preventing it from functioning properly until the token is renewed.

How to Fix the Issue

Fortunately, resolving these errors is simple and does not require technical intervention. To refresh your access token:

  1. Log out of the CI HUB Connector.

  2. Log back in using your usual credentials.

  3. The system will automatically generate and store a new valid access token.

After logging back in, your connections should function normally, and the 784 or 785 error messages will no longer appear.
