Navigating the CI HUB Connector Professional Interface

Once you have added connections to your DAM, MAM, PIM, or cloud storage systems, you can browse and manage your content directly in CI HUB Connector Professional.
The interface is divided into four main areas:

  • Connections area
  • Navigation area
  • Results area
  • Details area

Connections Area

The Connections area shows all the source systems you have connected. Use the blue checkbox next to a connection to activate or deactivate it.

When you have several connections, activate only the ones you need. This keeps the interface organized and makes it easier to find your content.

Opening Your Connected Systems

To browse a connected DAM, MAM, PIM, or cloud storage system:

  1. Open the Navigation area.
  2. Select a connection, such as Google Drive.
  3. Click the connection name to open it.
  4. Hover over the connection name to see the other active source systems and switch between them quickly.

Navigation Area

Use the Navigation area to choose and browse an active source system.

  1. Select the source system you want to open.
  2. Click a folder to view its contents.
  3. Continue opening folders until you find the content you need.

When several connections are active, you can switch between them from the Navigation area.

Using the Breadcrumb Path

The breadcrumb path shows your current location within the folder structure of the selected source system.

Each folder level is separated by a forward slash (/).

Breadcrumbs help you:

  • know exactly where you are in your folders
  • hover over a folder to see what is inside it
  • return directly to a specific folder

Navigation Buttons Explained

The buttons next to the Navigation area provide access to additional features.

Bin:  Deletes the folder you are currently viewing.

Note: This only works if the folder is empty.

Add Folder: Creates a new folder in your current location.

Similarity Search: Searches for images with similar visual content based on a selected asset in a connected stock system, such as Adobe Stock.

External Content Panel (ExCoP): Displays an overview of the assets linked to the current document and shows their status.

Folder Navigation: Returns you to the folder navigation view when it is hidden.

Search: Use the CI HUB Connector Professional search to:

  • find assets within your connected source systems
  • search content providers such as Unsplash or Adobe Stock

More Information: Throughout CI HUB Connector Professional, you may notice an “i” icon next to certain elements. This means that additional information is available.

In the navigation search field, click the “i” icon to view a tooltip explaining the search options available for the current source system or service. For certain providers, clicking the “i” icon opens their official support page for further assistance.

Results Area

The Results area displays the folders and assets available in your current location. Select a folder to open it, or select an asset to view more information. Search results also appear in the Results area.

Details Area

The Details area shows information about the selected asset.

Depending on the source system and asset, you may be able to view:

  • use the file in your document
  • update the file in your source system
  • open the file in your source system
  • delete asset
