Mastering the CI HUB Brand Connector Asset Explorer
Exploring the Asset Explorer
The Asset Explorer is the central hub where you manage, search, and preview assets from your connected integrations. It is designed for quick access and flexibility.
Available Connections and Management
At the top of the Asset Explorer, icons represent your active connections. You can enable or disable them by clicking on their icons.
A settings button provides access to connection management, where you can browse, preview, add, edit, or remove connections.
Search and Filtering
Below the connection icons, a search bar allows users to quickly locate assets by keyword. A Pre-Search filter refines results by category for greater accuracy.
Note: The Pre-Search feature is currently available only for certain integrations.
Viewing and Organizing Assets
All active connections are listed below the search bar. Clicking one reveals its folders and assets. You can toggle between grid and list views and apply filters such as date or size to refine the display.
Each asset shows key details including its name, source connection, file format, and lock status. You can:
-
Add items to Favorites for quick access.
-
Use the three-dot menu for actions such as lock/unlock or delete.
-
Insert assets directly into your design using drag-and-drop or the Add button.
Metadata — Understand and Use Asset Details
When you select an asset, its details are displayed at the bottom of the panel.
This section provides an overview of key information at a glance.
To view more, click the arrow icon to expand the view. You’ll see additional details including metadata, custom metadata, and other asset-specific information.
Users can drag and drop metadata directly into their design or copy metadata to the clipboard for use elsewhere.
The metadata panel includes details such as:
-
Asset Name
-
Type (e.g., image, video, file, etc.) and format (JPG, PNG, MP4, etc.)
-
Asset size and dimensions
-
Version (shows the latest version of the asset)
-
Comments (if any)
-
Creation and last modified date
Depending on the connection and file type, additional format-specific or custom metadata may also appear.
You can expand or collapse the metadata panel anytime to keep your workspace tidy.
The Asset Explorer and Metadata features give users complete control over their creative resources.
By efficiently managing connections, searching assets, and leveraging detailed metadata, teams can work smarter, maintain consistency, and accelerate design workflows within their favorite creative tools.
